To anyone out there – any parent, sibling, grandparent, loved one…
If you have someone in your life who is struggling with emotional troubles or substance addiction, you know how difficult it is to manage the situation in the best possible way for your loved one. As a parent I’ve been challenged with this recently. After weeks of research and not knowing what the best program is, or how to get my son physically there, I was fortunate to be referred to National Treatment Transport.
Late on a Friday night across the country, Charles spent so much time with me, objective talking to me about the programs available that I did research on, sharing his personal experience with me, informing me how his company safely transports people to a place where they can heal. I was, and am, so so grateful for Charles’ time and knowledge. He helped me secure my decision on where to send my son. He walked me through exactly how he would take my son, provided me with all the necessary paperwork, handling all the travel, rental cars, plane tickets for the transport. All of this was done within 24 hours over a weekend when I was completely stressed and anxious about what was to occur. He was my angel through one of the hardest decisions of my life.
Within 48 hours the team were on an airplane arriving in my city and the next morning they gave me an opportunity to tell my son what they here were for and where he was going. They instructed me to leave until my son was safely out of the house. They walked me through each step and with complete confidence in these men, they successfully got my son into a car outside. As I waited in my other child’s room I could hear their voices speaking with my son, being very delicate, calm, and patient. They never used any force, there was no disruption to my household, and no one was emotionally disturbed, traumatized or scared. I am unbelievably grateful for the way these men handled this delicate situation.
I was able to say goodbye to my son and I felt completely comfortable that he was in the hands of capable, experienced professionals. I received text messages the entire 13 hour journey across the country. I knew when my son was boarding flights, eating, sleeping, getting into rental cars, and then ultimately at his final destination. The team kept me informed the entire time which I am so grateful for.
Charles and his team are true professionals with integrity and care for the situation. I’m certain every transport situation is unique, but I can tell you that I feel so blessed and fortunate to have had the team with me this day. It could have been handled in the absolute worst way by others. I don’t know, but I am a testament of how positive our experience was. If you are ever faced with a situation like this or any situation where you need someone to escort/transport someone you care about I urge you to call Charles with National Treatment Transport. I am FOREVER indebted to this team!

We needed Charlie, and his team from National Treatment Transport on the worst day of our lives. We did not anticipate that our child would be so terrified -- and that we would not be able to take our child to treatment ourselves. It turns out that the universe works in miraculous ways.
From the moment we spoke with Charlie on the phone, I felt like things were going to be ok. Charlie assured me that if he could make it happen, he would, and that his team would take care of our kiddo. In an unimaginably short amount of time, Charlie not only assembled a team, he assembled THE team.
Charlie gave us all the details we needed to make the introduction between his team and our family seamless and calm. The team walked in our house -- and their presence, sweet smiles, and kind demeanor assured all of us that things were going to be ok. They were immensely respectful, calm, and in control with our kiddo -- and it gave us such relief knowing that our child was in such compassionate and capable hands.
The team gave us updates along the way -- and even handled an unexpected hiccup at the airport with grace and ease. They got our precious kiddo to treatment with a SMILE on our child's face.
In retrospect, hiring Charlie's team was the best possible way to get our kiddo to treatment. It created a definitive goodbye moment in our own home. And, Charlie's team did such a phenomenal job with our child.
We are more grateful than we could ever say and give them the highest, most heartfelt recommendation. These are the people you want. We would trust them again and again. I cannot say enough good things about these extraordinary humans. They have my thanks for the rest of my life.

Starting off this year knowing my grandson was safe was the best gift I could give my family. Our journey necessity came upon us fast and furiously as I am sure many are encountering with “today’s” THC, Fentanyl and kids never-ending creativity to access what they want or need. We had a child that just experimented in early Spring to full-blown addiction and disregard for his own life by late Fall. We HAD to save his life and our sanity.
Our first hurdle was finding somewhere for him to go that was away from the big city and also accepted pending 18 year-olds. This was a tall order and we had to move fast. Suicide ideation and goodbye texts landed our child where we could control the situation for a very short period of time.
This same city kid had never been on a plane. I could not imagine trying to elicit cooperation getting him in a vehicle to go across the United States, much less get on a plane and keep us out of a long-term TSA lounge.
National Treatment Transport was recommended to us by the facility Director, and I reached out at about 11 pm via email after reading parent testimonials. I decided at that moment, I would find a way to manage the investment because it seemed so much more realistic than managing any other alternative. I made it known (I am sure they are used to it!) that I had not slept in a while and needed to put my inquiry out there and try to rest. It was met with a compassionate response to rest easy, and we would begin our journey the next day.
The following morning, I was called as promised and we discussed details of our concerns and journey for over an hour. Being a grandparent, there is another parent involved so there was DOUBLE the amount of work and collaboration involved getting “off the ground” and no one winced.
Two days later, our child was awakened and carefully communicated with, able to dress and depart. Throughout the entire journey, we were provided text communication at every possible stop and shift in agenda. This was literally one of the happiest days of recent years.
Would I do this the same way again? You bet! So much so that I have reached out for continued support and updates along the way. Our next consideration is working with the same staff for mentor and sober companionship in the transitional recovery journey.
Just because they make it to their destination safely and cooperatively, does not mean the journey is over. Our family looks forward to taking the next step possibly with our friends here again.

Charles and his team are absolutely amazing. My daughter needed transport from an acute hospital to a mental health program. Unfortunately, because my daughter was resistant to treatment there was no way I could physically get her somewhere on my own. She has a strong flight response that happens when she feels threatened emotionally and/or spiritually. My concerns were taken seriously and her transport was based around those concerns. They did everything they possibly could to make it feel like she was being cared for and taken to treatment by family. My daughter has a strong sense of being able to read people. The fact that she didn’t feel threatened and was comfortable to a level that kept her calm from the very beginning to the very end speaks strongly of everyone involved. The team who drove my child for 17 hours were a critical part for her healing to begin. I can’t imagine this “job” isn’t a true calling for Charlie and his employees . I understand from being a nurse that sometimes there’s not enough incentive in the world to feel like you can continue to do something as difficult and important as what they do. I just want to express as much as I can that a simple thank you will never be enough. God sent this team directly to my daughter and I. I’m eternally grateful their hearts were open and willing to take a chance with someone’s child (teen) they had never met. It was an extremely difficult and emotional decision to make as a parent. They made it as comforting as humanly possible every step of the way. I don’t ever want to have to make the decision again but if I did it’s comforting to know there are people out there who care as much as NTT does.

It is with grateful hearts that we send this thank you. We appreciate all the time David spent with us via phone calls. All the info he gave is exactly how it went. He was true to his word. He communicated with compassion and genuinely listened to our concerns. We wouldn’t have begun this journey without his help.
We’d also like to express gratitude to Taylor and Anthony. They were both so very respectful, organized, professional and compassionate. Their teamwork was seamless. They were firm and compassionate. They presented safety and security for everyone involved; especially for our son. They both deserve recognition.
Grateful to National Treatment Transport!
